CAROLINA GIMENEZ (PRODUCER)
Carolina Gimenez is an Argentinean producer/filmmaker based in NYC since 2005. Carolina has worked on many NYC productions as Producer, Production Manager and Production Coordinator. Most recently, she produced and directed a short film, DOLLS (2017) and has been producing CUBBY since 2016. Her other feature films include the dominantly female crewed production of EGG (2018) starring Christina Hendricks and Alysia Reiner (ORANGE IS THE NEW BLACK), Michael Moore’s FAHRENHEIT 11/9 (2018) and WHERE TO INVADE NEXT (2015), HELLO AGAIN (2017) starring Audra McDonald and Rumer Willis, and FRED WON'T MOVE OUT (2012) with Elliott Gould and Fred Melamed. For television, she holds various credits on three separate scripted TV true-crime series for DISCOVERY ID (2016-2017).
MARK BLANE (CO-DIRECTOR / SCREENWRITER / PRODUCER)
Mark is a New York based director and screenwriter originally from Indiana. In 2013 he was hired as a scriptwriter for fashion designers branching into video content (narrative Stuart Weitzman short ‘#FeelSoGood’ with Zoe Saldana and a Max Mara video series with Amy Adams). He then went onto teaching playwriting at Rosie O’Donnell’s Theatre Kids program and Hetrick-Martin Institute for LGBTQ youth. 2016-2017, Mark served as a Writer’s Assistant for Season 1 of the CBS sitcom KEVIN CAN WAIT.
Mark was Co-Writer and Archival Producer with OSCAR® nominated director David France on THE DEATH AND LIFE OF MARSHA P. JOHNSON, which was sold to Netflix Originals after a premiere in Documentary Competition at Tribeca Film Festival 2017. Indiewire called it “a murder mystery, brilliantly fusing an archival history with the elements of a detective story.” TDALMPJ was nominated by GALECA for Best Documentary in the Dorian Awards.
Besides his debut narrative CUBBY, other future projects are collaborations with TNT/TBS and Michael Moore’s forthcoming FAHRENHEIT 11/9. Mark can be found most days at a Coney Island senior center where he teaches filmmaking classes to Chinese and Russian seniors.
BEN MANKOFF (CO-DIRECTOR)
Ben is a filmmaker living in Bushwick, Brooklyn. From Denton, Texas originally and the son of a psychologist and school teacher, Ben wound up at Bennington College studying Philosophy and Theater for his undergraduate degree. In New York, Ben has produced shorts, Trevor. Noah. and Stationary, along with Christine Pfister's animated feature film Mamoon (2017). Ben's most recent project was Jay Craven's Peter and John. Ben is currently enrolled in the graduate film studies program in the Gallatin School at New York University. CUBBY is Ben’s first feature film.
CHRISTIAN PATRICK (LEATHERMAN)
Christian is an actor and writer residing in Manhattan. Before film, Christian studied Nuclear Physics in the Navy. His latest film role was in the James Franco/Travis Mathews collaboration, INTERIOR. LEATHER BAR. (2013) which screened at Sundance and Berlinale in 2013. Christian is also featured in Franco's Gucci art film “La Passione” and Jake Robbin’s film HUSTLER. Between projects, he travels the world consulting and teaching classes on alternative sexuality, fetish, and BDSM subculture. Mr. Patrick’s journey has spanned from investment banking to dumpster diving on Oprah to translating for acclaimed film director Gaspar Noe, and producing a video for Wu-Tang Clan.
